deviantART New Feature: Username Change:

I am SOOOOOO excited that deviantART has finally added a new feature that lets you change your username! It's been forever since I've had this account, but I made it in my 'Japan crazy' days and as much as I still love anime and things of that nature, I would like something a little more personalized.

The good about it would be:

If you change your username and someone looks up your old URL, it will redirect to your new URL.
All of your art, comments, and personal information will stay the same.
No one can claim your old username (so you don't have to worry about that)

But on the other hand:

You can NEVER use your former username ever, ever, EVER again
You can only change your username once every SIX MONTHS
... so you have to be really, uber sure you want to change names

I'm pretty sure I'm ready for a name change, but still... Sam told me to think it over first, and I get what she's saying. As silly as my current username is, it still holds nostalgic value and all that.

Unfortunately, this feature is only available to Premium Members, but I'm sure deviantART will open it up to everyone soon enough!

But I still have the question to ask all of you:

I'm wondering what you guys thing about it. Would you change your username is you had the chance?

( Also, my apologies for NEVER really updating my account. School is over for the summer so besides an eventual summer job, I hope to get A LOT of art done for you guys! ♥ )
